Hi! Welcome to jakelaufer.com, or better yet, welcome back! How are things going? Gigs are up, the band is rebuilding, the new songs … still gaining acceptance. In short, the State of the Act is strong! (hold for applause)

Me and the boys&girl will be traveling from Virginia to Pennsylvania and back, and back and back, that’s right 3 straight weekends of shows in the state where my civic hopes and football dreams perished last Sunday. Why, Eagles, why??

Ok, this is a music site, so let’s talk music stuff, got my first college show coming up, at Franklin and Marshall as well as a return to the wonderful Millennium Music Conference in Harrisburg. On the local front, we’ve been selected by the new company Digital Performance Koncepts to play a couple of showcases at the world famous JAXX in Springfield. If you know the venue, it’s safe to say they haven’t seen the likes of myself and the Sherpa Underground in a long time!

What else … it is very very cold. Sometimes I just get so angry about it. But rather than just walk down the street and curse at the top of my lungs, I decided to do something productive. So, I’m off to CVS to pick up some hairspray and aerosol deodorant. Should global warm this town right up.

Finally, I see lots of people visiting this site from exotic locations like Spain, Germany and Massachusetts -- always curious how y’all get here. Why not sign the guestbook? It’s pretty sad right now, so you’re comments will definitely not get lost in the shuffle. There is no shuffle.
