Reflections from the road... Toronto was, as always, great. Had my cheap Air Canada flight out of
National on Saturday morning, going on 3 hrs of sleep thanks to a late night hockey game the previous evening. Maybe it's by the nature of my Canadian birth and ancestry, but there's just something about Air Canada's predominantly Quebecoise flight attendants, a fine airline.

Got in around noon and picked up a fly Big Brown Bonneville from AVIS which took an hour! Like the renegade Liberal MPs in Ottawa demanding his ouster, I know who to blame for this one ...

Saturday's performance at the Cameron House was a sweaty and joyous affair. I shared the stage with Torontonian singer/songwriter, Mark Weinstock, and goaded on by the crew in town for my friend's wedding, Mark and I rocked out together on some 80s covers at the end of the night.

On Monday, I finally checked out the Skydome (my gosh, what a big, big thing) and ended up with a last minute show at Graffiti's - a cool little dive bar by Toronto's Kensington market.

Continuing to impersonate an internationally touring artist, I flew to New York on Tuesday to play at DT-UT, but that whole rock star façade fell apart afterwards as I had to wait around Penn Station for the 2:15 AM
train back to Washington to get back to my day job. Obviously, the private jet was not available.

So, what's next? Doing a little personnel restructuring with the Sherpa Underground, but we continue to go forward, still performing here and there by the good graces of Party DC Events, and heading off next month to the Dewey Beach Music Festival. In October, I'm going to the Amish country, Lancaster, PA, for the National Association for Campus Activities conference, which should get me started on a college tour in the spring.

As always, please keep checking this site for the latest. Would love to get some comments in the Guest Book, and guess what? The next person who buys my CD online gets a free copy of the new Dave Matthews album. No kiddin.
